Bridge, Frank - Phantasy for Violin, Viola, Cello, and Piano - Lauren Publications

Bridge, Frank - Phantasy for Violin, Viola, Cello, and Piano - Lauren Publications Review

Frank Bridge composed the Phantasy Piano Quartet in 1910, in the style of a 16th century fancy'. Consisting of one movement, the Phantasy is something of an entire four movement piano quartet compressed into 12 minutes and played straight through. Stylistically, Bridge's work could be described as Brahmsian with an impressionistic air. The piece is justifiably regarded as one of Bridge's best compositions, and should not be overlooked. For Violin, Viola, Cello, and Piano. Published by Lauren Publications. Difficulty: A5 (Apprentice Rating) Click here to learn more about the Apprentice and ASTA Sheet Music Difficulty Ratings.
